Christmas at Costco

I am staying in the Pool! This is my 5th Transfer here! So happy! President told me that i won't stay another transfer though. We have seen miracles already! One of our investigators, Stevie Rae, came up to us and told us that she wants to be baptized. Then she walked away. It was so beautiful. The cool story about Stevie is that she is actually a grandaughter of a less-active family we have been working with for a while! Sister Tipiwai became active about two transfers ago and now her husband has been coming to church. Her unbaptized daughter and grandchildren have been coming to church as well! The extended family also went to the ward Christmas party and temple lights! So we went to visit them earlier this week and it turns out both Stevie-Rae (10) and Madison(8)want to get baptized! Missionaries have been working with these grandchildren for a long time and they know the book of Mormon stories so well. When we asked Stevie why she wanted to get baptized, she replied, "I want to go to the Celestial Kingdom." The family is on board for the 16th of January! We talked with Madison's mum about her baptism and she said that her goal is to go to the temple. We invited her to be baptized and she said it will eventually happen but i want to see my children baptized first. That was a highlight of this week.

Ok i forgot about Christmas! It was great! Skyped the family and it was wonderful! To be honest we didn't even say anything too important, it was just great to see their faces! Congrats to Briar and Brad who were married yesterday, which is technically today because i am a day ahead! I love you both! Went to Costco for Christmas eve and the members showered us with goodies and perfume! We had to stay in Christmas eve so President let us watch movies! We watched Tarzan! We had a massive sleepover and we were allowed to stay up late and sleep in on Christmas!

I came to realize that your Life's greatest work is YOU. When everything in your life is removed. When you are stripped of every worldy thing and every person you know and you stand completely alone, what do you see? Who will you be? We are constantly changing.  We are either internalizing qualities of light or qualities of darkness, i really want to change my nature. I want to give God my entire self. I want to be ready to stand in his presence. I know i will always have weaknesses, but life is about progressing and changing. I don't just want to change my behavior, i want to change my nature and work exactly according to God's will, not my own! The work is great and i love being a missionary! Love you all heaps!

Look Up!

Merry Christmas! This week was packed with Love and of coarse the spirit! Quick update on my week since i only have 10 minutes to type this. Yesterday we had our Mission Christmas Conference. It was so much fun! We watched The Other Side of Heaven and all the Poly's did the Haka! It was so funny! We also had our ward Christmas Party and we performed twice! Our investigators performed in it as well! I will have to send videos of our performances! Emma made so much progress this week. She has been texting us throughout the week and she's been saying no to alcohol left and right. We are so proud of her. Also she has been reading her Book of Mormon and coming to church every week! We are setting an appointment with her and the Stake President this week!

How do we have the Christmas Spirit? We recognize that God loves us so much that he gave us his son as a gift. How do we show him that we appreciate this gift? We love him back. God does not need us to love him, but oh how we should love him back. Imagine the atonement. Jesus walking, not knowing fully what was about to happen. But God is all-knowing. He knew what was going to happen. He could have called off the whole plan, but he didn't. Instead i believe that he looked at all of us. Looked into our faces during that time that our savior bled from every poor. He looked at us and he gave us his son because he loved us.

During this christmas time. Don't look to your left or to your right. Look up!

Love,

Sister Jacobsen

Merry Christmas Mates

I LOVE YOU ALL! I will try to write a good email next week! This week was more than wonderful. It started off with an epic game of zone laser tag! Ended with a beautiful trip to the temple as a zone. I love my zone! Also We have been going over the baptismal interview questions with EMMA and she now can say yes to "Do you believe that God is our Eternal Father? Do you believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Savior and Redeemer of the world?" She didn't know God before! SO SO Happy! Also Jessica the mother of our other investigators that is on date started taking the discussions and in her closing prayer she said "The more and more the sister come, the more and more i want to be Mormon!" It was great! Of course we had many smile moments this week! Love you all!

Love, Sister Jacobsen

P.s. You get what you put into it! I believe that applies to almost anything.

Milo

There is so much that goes into every week here in the pool. I struggle every week to share with you the many great things that happened!

Emma received a priesthood blessing this week to help her with the Word of Wisdom. The blessing was so amazing. It really emphasized her baptism and having an Eternal Family. Speaking of her baptism, Bishop isn't sure if we will be able to have it on the 26th so stay tuned for the confirmed date. We also attended a funeral this week for Brother Allen a member in our ward who passed away because of bad health. They asked us to sing in the funeral so we said yes. I think it is truly amazing how fast a family can come together. The spirit was there. We went to the temple to give tours for the temple lights. It was beautiful!

I Love Love our investigators. So many families to work with, we recently received Elders in our ward so we are handing over some of our families to them so that the work can be hastened. It was hard letting go of these families. But one thing I realized is that I am an investigator. Correction, I am an eternigator. Eternigator is a title we give an investigator who seems like they will investigate for eternity. But really, every day I am learning something new. I plan on investigating forever and to be more converted every single day. Here is an interpretation from Elder Bednar about the parable of the Ten Virgins. It is so good!

I now want to use one of many possible interpretations of the parable of the ten virgins to highlight the relationship between testimony and conversion. Ten virgins, five who were wise and five who were foolish, took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom. Please think of the lamps used by the virgins as the lamps of testimony. The foolish virgins took their lamps of testimony but took no oil with them. Consider the oil to be the oil of conversion.

“But the wise took oil [of conversion] in their vessels with their lamps [of testimony].
“While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
“And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
“Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps [of testimony].
“And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil [even the oil of conversion]; for our lamps [of testimony are weak and] are gone out.
“But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves” (Matthew 25:4–9).

Were the five wise virgins selfish and unwilling to share, or were they indicating correctly that the oil of conversion cannot be borrowed? Can the spiritual strength that results from consistent obedience to the commandments be given to another person? Can the knowledge obtained through diligent study and pondering of the scriptures be conveyed to one who is in need? Can the peace the gospel brings to a faithful Latter-day Saint be transferred to an individual experiencing adversity or great challenge? The clear answer to each of these questions is no.

As the wise virgins emphasized properly, each of us must “buy for ourselves.” These inspired women were not describing a business transaction; rather, they were emphasizing our individual responsibility to keep our lamp of testimony burning and to obtain an ample supply of the oil of conversion. This precious oil is acquired one drop at a time—“line upon line [and] precept upon precept” (2 Nephi 28:30), patiently and persistently. No shortcut is available; no last-minute flurry of preparation is possible.

“Wherefore, be faithful, praying always, having your lamps trimmed and burning, and oil with you, that you may be ready at the coming of the Bridegroom” (D&C 33:17).
I learned about what conversion truly means from Elder Bednar. I know that we take our "conversion" with us when we go to meet our Heavenly Father. We take our entire selves that have been tried and tested and CONVERTED. That is who you will take.

Love,
Sister Jacobsen

P.s. We are going to play laser tag today as a zone! Also, look up 3 Nephi 31-33
Something else I learned is to stop asking less-active members to come to church. Instead we ask them "How long has it been since you've taken the sacrament?"

Also a member thought of me and gave me a bunch of American candy from Costco. Love Costco.

Bonjour

So i want to talk about one of my favourite(they spell it like that here) experiences this week.So for the past 2 months we have been going over to a less-actives home almost every single day. She wouldn't answer and she had just recently gone less-active. She actually helped fellowship one of our investigators that was baptised. Any ways, last night we were going to go back to the flat for language study but i felt like we should go try again. Again no answer. She lives in a flat, so we can see her balcony so we pulled a Romeo and Juliet. I picked up the little seed pebble things at my feet and started throwing them at her door. I was desperate. After a few minutes we had a good laugh and walked back to the car. But then... She came out to the balcany and yelled, come in! We were so excited! We went in and had one of the most spiritual lessons. She cried, I cried, my companion cried. For some reason we all just cried. I blame it on the spirit. She opened up to us about everything. We were able to help her and give her love and support. I find it interesting how most of the time when things get rough, latter day saints turn away from the gospel, they say just give me a couple of months off. That is exactly the opposite of what we are supposed to do. We need to embrace the gospel. I know that it is a lot easier said than done, but when the rough patch is over and latter-day saints come back, they go ahh i knew the answer the whole time. That answer is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Ok quick funny story, We had some great investigators at Church yesterday! Emma sat next to me. It was so funny because when we were taking the Sacrament she leans over and whispers to me, is there any point to taking it if i'm not baptized? I explained to her the significance of the sacrament after baptism. Then our other investigator actually asked Emma the same question and it was so cool to hear Emma explain to Destiny the importance of the Sacrament. Emma then said, " But i'm going to take it because i'm sorta hungry." Haha she makes me laugh! She is getting a priesthood blessing this Tuesday to help her with the Word of Wisdom! She is on date for the 26 of December! Boxing day!

I had another spiritual experience this week. I have been reading in 3rd Nephi in the Book of Mormon and almost every morning i've been brought to tears. I am constantly getting a burning feeling in my heart that the Book of Mormon is true! I love it!

Also, I've been asking God a lot "what is keeping me from progressing?" It's interesting how specific answers i get. My answer was you need to increase your faith. I then asked him how i could increase my faith and the NEXT  day my mission president taked about increasing our faith at Zone Conference! He really does answer our prayers!

In other news, we got locked out of our flat this week but we both still had our keys, it's a long story. We went to another Stake Christmas party with some investigators! It was a great week! Love you all!

Love,

SIS JAKE

It is Hot

Australian Updates: This week we hit 42 C which is 114 F in America. It. was. hot. But on the bright side (it was too bright) everyone offered us ice blocks (Popsicles) and whenever it is raining or super hot people feel bad for you so they let you in!

Jonah Lomu died! I guess he is a really well-know Rugby player. He is actually LDS and is related to the Simpsons in our ward!

Smile moments: This week we had a lesson with a family we are teaching and we found out that they are still praying to the Hindu Gods. It was heart-breaking. They want to be baptized, but they need to be truly converted. There has been a lot of concerns that we have had to tackle with this family. So it was kind of a sad lesson but at the end of the lesson when i went to pick up my bag i realized that little baby hendry pooped on my bag. It made me laugh! Also i ate bones this week! The members in the home did it so i didn't want to be rude.

This week was great because i decided to do a spiritual evaluation this morning. I looked at how i had grown just within this last week and wow my mind was blown. I want to share a couple of things i learned. So i realized that we come to earth to progress. We couldn't progress any more in the pre-earth life. I believe we were put into our unique families to learn from each one of them and to ultimately help us to progress. I know Lauren is my Sister because i need to learn something from her to progress and i need to learn something from Nate to progress and Mum and Dad and Brad. I don't know if this is making sense to anyone, but we don't just stumble across the people in our life for no reason. Every one is a part of the plan. Everyone has something to offer to your life. Whether it be good or bad.

Ok also, we have been doing a lot of Object lessons. I want to share one. We will be going on an imaginary plane ride. Passengers, please fasten your seat belts. Ok you pretend like you just took off. Passengers our right wing has just blown out... stay calm. Passengers, our left wing has just blown out.. stay calm. Passengers we will be crashing. We have assembled an emergency package where we will put letters for your loved ones. You have 2 minutes to write a letter.

So i went through this experience. I wrote my letter to the ones i cared about and loved. They collected my letter and they then related it to how in the scriptures these prophets wrote their last words for us. Then the Pilot ripped up our letters right in front of us. My heart hurt! The pilot could tell i was upset. But i realized that is like when we don't read the scriptures. Do we really cherrish the scriptures?

Sorry i am so rushed, the computer is shutting off! I love you all!

Love,
SIS JAKE!

p.S. Look up Jer 1:8 and Joshua 1:9

I am Staying

Quick email! I am staying in the pool with Sister Teriihaunui! Investigators are great. This transfer is going to be one full of miracles. With prayer and fasting i am sure of it! I will just send a couple of pics this week and i will be sure to update everyone next week!

Any time we experience the blessings of the atonement in our lives, we cannot help but have a concern for the welfare of others!

p.s. Also i gave my first training this week on the Book of Mormon! I felt complete peace while training and i just love The Book of Mormon so much! Also went to the first of many Christmas dinners. When i say they start early for christmas i mean they start really really early!

7/11

My Dearest Family and Friends,

The weeks get better and better.

Australian updates: So to explain the caption, this week was 7/11 in Australia because they put the day before the month. So what does that mean?? FREE SLURPEES AT 7/11 the petrol station! Unfortunately, I did not realize until after planning. Our flatmates showed us their 7/11 cups haha. A couple updates about the Australian culture: Christmas decorations went up at the beginning of October. Like full on decorations in the malls. It is so fun. Halloween and Thanksgiving don't even exist. Also, the entire front yard of someone's home is a parking spot. Everyone just pulls onto each others front gardens (lawns) It is really fun. I do it myself. Also everyone has the letter P on their cars because it takes them like 3 years to get their full license and they have to wear a P on their car until they get their full license. By the way, I drive better in Australia than in America. JOKES. Also, I read the Book of Mormon with my buddy Joey the kangaroo this week and Kyle the Koala bear listened too. I've learned heaps of slang here. The food really is different, mostly because the flavors are different. Also, it's summer here and HOT but the weather has so many mood swings. It rained a ton this week and there was lighting and thunder and then the next day it will be burning hot!

Smile Moment: I will just pick one! Sister Allen came to church this week! Finally! She is less-active! But she brought her a glass bottle that said "BEER" on it with her and drank it throughout church! It was ginger beer so no dramas. (they say no dramas here rather than no worries)

Companion is great!  I am now learning some French and Tahitian.

Languages learned:

Gangsta: CHECK
THAI: CHECK
SAMOAN: CHECK
TONGAN: CHECK
FRENCH: Still in progress
TAHITION: Still in progress

Ok and now onto my favorite part.

Update on Liverpool 1st area: The pool is great and transfers are next week which really scares me because my work here isn't done! I know these investigators and these people so well and this week i found out so many of their concerns and i know how to help them! Ok lets start with Emma! She went to the Relief Society camp this week and she is so well fellowshipped. We don't even have to worry about people saying hi to her or welcoming her. She texted us after and told us how much she enjoyed camp! Church activities are such great missionary opportunities. Then she rocked up to church with her entire family! She now regularly plans on coming to church. She really likes the feeling at church AKA THE SPIRIT! Her EX-Partner even came. Emma is a sincere investigator. She progresses every time we meet with her. It is small progression, but progression in deed. Everyone knows she will be baptized, it's just a matter of when. She is currently praying about a day. She struggles with prayer so we are trying to help[ her overcome some of the obstacles Satan tempts her with. But she is doing really well. We get to see her 3 times a week! Also, Emma stated off with no belief in God. Now her daughter Ebony is baptized and her twins know what prayer is. She is the one that makes Ebony come to church now. This is what the gospel is all about. It changes lives. It has changes this families life.

Ok update with the Sureskumar family. So they are here! They've torn my heart in a million different directions but i still love them beyond what words can describe. We finally received some answers. They were at the airport and all ready to go and to move but the immigration department called and told them that they weren't supposed to leave. Chitra was very frustrated and she feels she doesn't have any control over the situation. They are still moving but just waiting to hear when. They meet with the immigration department on a regular basis trying to figure things out, but Chitra now thinks they will be staying for a few more months. But then we asked why they hadn't told us earlier before their baptism and that's where the answers really came. Chitra bore her testimony. She knows the Book of Mormon is True and she loves God so much. She said that she knows Baptism is a big deal and that she is scared. She wants her whole family to be baptized as well. She knows that God wants her to be baptized. They are currently praying about a specific day to be baptized, and we are working to get the entire family baptized. All 6 of them! So things are good. Salvation never comes cheap.

Nicholas came to church as well! We have two African investigators right now and they are legit. They ask so many questions! Nicholas is well fellowshipped as well. We've had a couple of lessons in members homes which is THE BEST! He is praying about a date as well. He is still struggling with the whole "I was already baptized, why do i need to be baptized again?" concern. But don't worry we will tackle it!

Other than that we are working with some part member families! Our less-actives brought some of our Investigators to church this week! This Sunday was one of my favorites on the mission! It was the primary presentation. Imagine cute little Children singing in Australian accents. I've become so use to the accents that i don't really notice them anymore, but at church i realized that these little kids were singing in Aussie accents and how precious they were! Almost all of the less-actives we've been working with came to church this week! THANK YOU PRIMARY PRESENTATION! My heart was just so full. We also had a musical fireside. Sister Atkinson sang! This week on trade-offs she came with us to our lessons. It was a really good day and we taught 7 lessons and we made her sing in every single one of them! Ok i have to go! But those are the mains! Pray that i won't get transferred and that i will keep swimming in the pool! The Game is on and the work is great.

Also, one thing i learned this week. "You cannot expect an investigator to progress if you aren't progressing yourself." We can apply this to any relationship. Look at yourself first. Once we see the divinity in ourselves, we can see it in others. Also a couple great scriptures on prayer. Mattew 7:P7-8 and 3 Nephi 18:20. I challenge you to say a vocal personal prayer this week. There is power to vocal prayers.

LOVE,

SIS JAKE

Dont Have Time

I have no time this week because we are going to the zoo and I am sharing half of my computer time with my companion! But here are a couple quotes and pictures I wanted to leave with you! "If you saw everyone with their full potential, you would worship them."
"Fear is a reaction, courage is a decision" "Patience with family is love, Patience with others is respect, Patience with yourself is confidence." "You aren't born a winner. You aren't born a loser. You are born a chooser." THIS WEEK WAS GREAT AND I AM SO HAPPY HERE AND I LOVE YOU ALL HEAPS!

PICS: I totally asked this man if I could do his hedging for him and he let me! Plus we get to come by next week to share a message with him!
This is what my companion did to comfort me when I was crying about the sureskumar family moving! She is so sweet!
Trunk of treat! SO MUCH FUN!

LOVE
SIS JAKE

P.s. look up alma 7:23-24

Also I bore my testimony yesterday in our ward and it is so rewarding to see how much my testimony has grown on my mission! I love being a missionary! I love Australia!

Where does the time go?

Ok so here are a couple of updates on this week! Sorry i have no time!

We had interviews with President Back! I love him so much! We actually have interviews with Sister Back as well which i love! We get along great! Someone told me that i look like the younger version of Sister Back. Life made. Today we will be watching Meet the Mormons with Emma our investigator for P-day! (my first time seeing it) Emma came to church with her twins yesterday! It was a huge step. Also, Deborah is back! So church was great because  Deborah was sitting to my left and Emma was sitting to my right, and Ebony gave her first talk on Sunday! She killed it!

Soo the Sureskumar family's baptism is this Saturday! We have their program and everything ready! The only thing is they might have to move before their baptism. Since they are immigrants they have been trying to get their C's. In order to get their C's they have to move outside of Sydney. We will anxiously be awaiting a call today to know if they will be allowed to stay for their baptism. They have everything packed. If they can't be baptized this Saturday they will be baptized in Adelaide which will still be great! :) It was really hard hearing the news at first but i know this will be a blessing for them because now Rajen will have a steady job and they will be able to pay for their home. I'm out of time! The computed is going to shut off in 2 minutes! I love you all! There were heaps of miracles this week and i wish i could tell you all of them! I sent a lot of pictures this week!

Love,
 SIS JAKE

Pics 1-3: Happy Birthday Nathaniel and DUD from my companion and i!
Pic 4: Cutest little girl in my ward. She came and taught with us a couple weeks ago! If she doesnt fight with her siblings for a week she gets to go to the movies. A month she gets a 100 bucks. A year she gets a car.

Pic 5: Our cute little investigators
PIC 6: THIS IS AUSTRALIA. OLD MEN IN SHORT SHORTS ON CRUISERS.

Pic 7: This is Bishop's family. We ate with them for the first time which is a miracle because i dont know how long it's been since they've had the missionaries over. Maybe 10 months?

Would you like a cup of Milo?

Hello! I want to share a couple miracles this week and talk a little bit about our investigators that i love so so much. :)

Early this week we were contacting a potential named Grace that we had met at the park a couple P-days ago. In the phone i typed in Grace not realizing that there were 2 Graces. We accidentally called a Grace who had been a former investigator. The cool thing is we set up an appointment with her and she told us that it was a huge miracle that we called her because she had lost our contact and had been wanting to meet with the missionaries! We've already met with her twice! (She said a 10 minute prayer (no joke) thanking Heavenly Father for sending us and asking that we would baptized thousands and millions)!
Ok, also right as we were walking in to email today we ran into Sella! She told us that she is half way through the Book of Mormon and she is reading it with Martine! :)

One more miracle. It was getting towards the end of the day and we decided that we should go visit the Nair family. They are less-actives. They've been for a while. We knocked 3 times but no one answered. We really felt like we needed to visit them thought so we decided to say a prayer on the doorstep. After our prayer we waited with faith that they would open the door, but nothing happened! So we started writing a note and THEY OPENED THE DOOR! We shared a message with them and they invited us back to eat on Sunday! They came to General Conference and Sister Nair had a spiritual experience!

Ok the Sureskumar family is doing great! Pray for them! We actually got to talk with Sithras mum and she is supportive! :)

Emma, Ebony's mum is doing great too! She has been coming to Relief Society dance practices!

We started teaching a girl named Jasmine and her Dad is LA. But her Dad's name is Elvis Presley which is super cool.

Those are the mains, please pray for them :)

Ebony and Deborah are doing great! This week Ebony asked questions about being married in the temple and what she can do so her entire family can be there beside her and her mum. She talks as if her mum is already a member. It's so cute!

But my favorite part about his week was General Conference. I have never loved General Conference more! I feasted on every word. The spirit was so strong. I really love how the Church is the same across the entire world. My testimony has been strengthened so much this week. Countless spiritual experiences. I know that my testimony is MY testimony. I don't even want to imagine my life without it or without my mission. I actually went into conference with 5 questions that i had written down. I took notes throughout the whole thing. After Conference i went through my notes and my questions had been answered in countless talks. And i actually got super specific answers. Holland and Nelson got me sooooo stoked to be a mum! I think my favorite talk was by Larry R. Lawrence.

"We don't need to be more of anything to become the person we want to become! We don't have to be perfect, but we need to be good at getting better."

I also loved the Women's Conference. and how Sister Wixom talked about the 2 important days in a girls life. 1. the day she was born and 2. The day she finds out why.

I am finding out why on my mission and i love it! I love being a missionary and i love you!!!

Love,

SIS JAKE

Transfers

Sister Chaipinit and Sister Morgan both left! It was a sad sad day in Flat 33. But my new companion is Sister Terihainui which i still can't pronounce right and the other sister is from Africa! My new companion is a sweetheart! A couple of updates!

I went to a wedding! We went with the Sureskumar family to a family wedding. We called up Pres and asked for his advice. He said, "They aren't invited into our temple, but looks like they've invited you into yours." Go! We went and it was.. an experience! Sister Chaipinit even wore an Indian dress. They had one for me but i am so tall so i couldn't wear it :( I'll send pics! Other than that we saw heaps of miracles and had heaps of smile moments! I love you all and i will try to be better at writing! Also i haven't watched General Conference yet because they record it and watch it the following week!

I Believe In Miracles

Deborah was baptized!
A few weeks ago she had asked us to slow things down and now she is baptized! She was able to attend all of stake conference last week and go to the temple and she had a super neat experience with the spirit. She told us she wanted to be baptized this Saturday and at first i was a like woahh slow it down Debbie, but then when she bore her testimony i prayed and i knew it was right. She is leaving to go to SAN DIEGO in a week so that is why she wanted to get baptized. She wants to meet up with my fam bam which would be too cool. President Back was able to meet with her and talk with her before her baptism. Then after he talked with her he was like, Sisters what are you doing for dinner. We had an appointment with a less active but they canceled, so we were just going to eat at the flat. He insisted on taking us to dinner. So we ate at a Thai place and it was so fun. We felt so special. I love President Back so much. We convinced them to come to the baptism so they even came the next day! Big miracles happening. I will repent for the quality of my emails. Love you all heaps!

SIS JAKE

PICS: Deb's baptism, Making shakes, Emma, ebony's mum, Funny pics with member's clothes, Sa the Thai lady that we are teaching!

P.S. We are going to the driving range today with our Aussie hats!

Enjoy The Ride!

Hello!

So this week was amazing. It feels like I went to the beach ages ago but the beach was unreal. White sand, crystal blue water. And this wasn't even one of the elect beaches. They call it Brighton Le Sands beach. So this week was packed with lessons and meetings and even a trade off with sister Morgan! We were so excited to be comps! So one of the families we are teaching (the one with the fasting experience) is doing so well! We have lots of amazing people we are teaching! I just wanted to share a couple of things I learned this week! I'm trying to make every minute of my personal studies!    “learn of me ….and ye shall find rest unto your souls” Matt 11:29  I'm also learning to enjoy rejection. President Back said Enjoy rejection as did Paul: “…my strength is made perfect in weakness….I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:9-10. “…Love your enemies, bless them that curse you…..pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;” Matt 5:44 President Back also tells us that obedience fills all the cracks of our lives. It is so true. Obedience guarantees happiness. "Enjoy exact obedience: Miracles are yours for the asking." I've learned to  enjoy work: “…this is my work and my glory-to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man.” Moses 1:39 / “…a marvelous work….” D&C 4 / “It is the working man who is the happy man. It is the idle man who is the miserable man.” Benjamin Franklin / “The only place success comes before work is in the dictionary.” Vince Lombardi / “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” Confucius There are so many great things I've learned this week! Sorry for an overload!

President Back also came to Stake Conference as did one of the Seventy who I talked with after!

Keep the fire burning! (fire means the spirit) I will attach pics of the beach!
